Still... this release was decent. What happened after that is anyone's guess...

Just a bunch of haters on here as usual.
Yes the song is cheesy and we've all heard it a trillion times.
The duo acknowledges this is a crossover record, and as such it's done very well - all the Dance radio stations in America supported it, and it went Top 20 on the UK charts.
How many songs have you all released that people actually went out and purchased? that many of the major DJs played? Aren't some of you only associated with Tech House and minimal crap anyway?

It takes a lot more effort to produce an "Anthem" then it does to produce a minimal track that's going nowhere.

That's almost full coverage of clichés. Just like Anthem.

I'm not usually one to participate in the typical TA bashing, but Anthem warrants it. Just listen to it all the way through and try not to cringe. If they want to make DJ Sammy / Cascada / Crazy Frog music and get famous and make some $$$ on downloads and touring good for them - but all cred goes out when that acoustic guitar break of the anthem comes sweeping in.

for the record, I very much enjoyed their song 'In Your Face' as well as remix of Marco V's Godd, as well as some other songs of theirs in the past.

What is it with this dichotomy? Either you like Trance, or more specifically, Anthem, or you like monotonous minimal clicking...it doesn't quite work that way.

I highly doubt it's merely a group of pretentious minimal enthusiasts and Trance haters who are bashing/bashed on Anthem- it seems to have received criticism from across the board, with a portion of it likely ranging from even the Trance crowd.

The track is slightly above terrible, and I'm not saying this from a Tech House/Techno/Minimal perspective, but rather from the perspective of someone who simply listens to/enjoys Dance music.

Yeah, there's not too much detail to go into, in my head it seemed to be a couple of hours of Anthem and Going Wrong.

It was a shit night from the outset, however John Askew did a 5/10 set. The destruction of atmosphere that Kevin and Perry achieved was incredible, was like a Butlins night at a local Luminar Leisure gaff by the time they finished at 4 for Schossow.

Impossible to take seriously. God I hate them.

I think the vocal does WAY more damage than the guitar break tbh
