People have a habit of asking me if I am ok because sometimes I will be really engaged in conversation with people, and other times I am fucking quiet as hell. I don't usually have the extreme icantshutthefuckup chattyness, but it happens once in a while. Otherwise I am relatively quiet and reserverd.

i'm generally pretty chatty and outgoing. especially when i'm stoned...but i'm also really sensitive to my surroundings so i can tell when i need to just shut up lol. i'm also a good listener.

then there's those observant moods that strike me once in a while and i just sit around taking everything in. that's usually when i feel out of place though.

silence can be a beautiful thing, but i think far too many people are unable to realize that.

there are 2 kinds of "chatty" people -- those who are talking just for the sake of hearing their own voice, and those who are talking because they're genuinely excited to be conversing with you. i honestly can't stand being around people who can't break away from their "ME ME ME" mentality and can only discuss what's important to them rather than taking the time to actually listen to the other person(s) involved in the conversation.

i'm naturally a pretty quiet and reserved person, but i have no problem conversing with people who are much louder and much more extroverted than i am, as long as they are as good at listening as they are at talking. i think as long as you have that balance, being chatty doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.
