As much as I hate Obama that is impressive. Let's see some crowd shots from Hitler speeches. I bet those were insane. |
i can't say for sure, but i suspect there was a slight fear factor involved with attending hitler rallies.

Bottom line, this line of criticism is retarded. As Capitalizt stated, you're concerning yourself over an increase of $65 billion in aid over a 13 year period when you couldn't care less about writing Bush a blank check for any of his other fuckups.
Forgetting the propensity for you "conservatives" to waste money like it was a crack habit through mismanagement and corruption, I feel obliged to bring to light one of the few legitimate accomplishments of this administration. That accomplishment is PEPFAR which was Bush's plan for AIDS relief that started in 2003. That plan, which is hailed as a success, consisted of $15 billion over a 5 year period. I'm sorry, I guess I missed the thread where you drones castigated the Bush administration for being more concerned with problems abroad than at home. Care to link it?
PEPFAR ends this year and the Bush administration has proposed an additional $30 billion over a 5 year period for PEPFAR 2 alone. Now I don't feel like calculating the discounted cash flows, but I'm guessing it's not too far off from $65 billion over a 13 year period. Now once again I didn't see any "outrage" from you sudden converts to the fiscal "conservatives" brigade so perhaps you can point out that thread unless you guys conveniently just joined the club yesterday or something. In case you didn't know, its membership consists almost entirely of what you term as "liberals" because naturally no true "conservative" would ever doubt the Bush administration's policies.
That being said, I'm a firm advocate of PEPFAR and PEPFAR 2. It's one of the few things we're actually getting our money's worth. Oh yea, and I'm in that top 10% that pays 70% of taxes. I'm all in favor increasing taxes for initiatives like PEPFAR. I'm getting my moneys worth and at the end of the day I can still afford a beer. I'm not for wasteless spending like Iraq. Tell you what, you and your kind pay for that shitstorm of waste and lack of accountability in Iraq that you've become so accustomed to defending and myself and my kind will pay for global poverty/health initiatives. |
Bingo. This thread is just stupid.
