Well, I think (fingers crossed) that it may be fixed. Lowering the voltage to 1.33v has bought idle temp down to about 42 oC, and under load it is going to about 62 oC.

very nice.. 1.33 is a very little undervolt, so i think you`ll be fine.

My mistake, it's actually at 1.344v and with a 14x multiplier. So ive now got a slightly faster cpu (2.81GHz) and a much cooler cpu - result!, thanks for all your help!
