this rant isnt worth a new thread but kind of relevant to this one...

as some of you might have remembered, in the viva toronto review thread i mentioned that i wasn't able to get the hoodie i coat checked back, because i was told the coat check manager left 'to another party'.. this was at least 10 mins before the music stopped and skybar still had hundreds of people on it. a guy working for the club said it was locked up and i'd have no problem calling later in the week and picking it up... kinda inconvenient and a little weird but i ran with it

i called over 5 times during the next few days, during regular office hours, and asked to be forwarded to the coat check manager.. each time he never picked up. on the first friday after the event i finally leave a voicemail explaining my situation, coat check #, describing my item, giving all my contact info etc.. never hear back from them.

i leave it alone for a few weeks and thought i would try my luck on fri the 25th when i was at the jabbawockeez event.. i figured they had to hold things at least 30 days, especially if i left the voicemail claiming i wanted it back. the attendant looked in the back room for it. he comes out with a bunch of other stuff thats not mine, asks me if it's there, shrugs and says "i think it's gone brah"

so a couple days later i write a well written, mildly angry yet polite email to 5 relevant email addresses i found on the contact page at the guv website explaining the situation... and have heard nothing back still

i feel like a little bitch ranting but you would think that a world class club that is arguably ranked #1 would at least value peoples' belongings that you PAY THEM to take care of... but i'm most pissed off that i can't even get a fuckin' response from them in any way, let alone a little apology or a free pass to an event.. even a LoL pass would cover less than half the cost of the hoodie but i'd be happy to at least know they care a LITTLE bit about relationships with their patrons.

The fact that you couldn't get your coat back b/c the manager left to another party was their first mistake there. I'd be fucking outraged. Completely unacceptable, as coat check should be open until the club closes and everyone is gone (or all tickets have been claimed).

I'm shocked at the fact that they haven't responded to you either. Sure sounds like your coat was taken by someone who works there, and they just don't want to deal with you Unbelievable.
