That's kind of an idealistic view. In real life, immature kids get themselves pregnant and can't really take care of the baby efficiently. Then they either abort or sacrifice their future and generally do a lousy job of raising kids. I don't think government help with raising kids would noticably increase the number of child or teen pregnancies, as they will still mostly be unwanted in either case. Teens don't avoid getting pregnant because of a lack of money, they avoid it because of the responsibility and time sacrifice it involves. Finances are only a secondary issue. That being said, I don't think Obama's stance on the issue is such a bad idea. Better than having those newborn kids sick and uncared for because of a lack of money.

Actually, Latin, you know well better than anyone that I go directly to the source quite often. In nearly every situation since Obama has been the presumptive nominee, Obama has led with the numbers not including the "leaning" states. I do like those leaning states, however, including Ohio, Florida, Missouri, Virginia, Montana, Alaska, and Indiana continuing to trend towards Obama, don't you?

Something that has the Obama campaighn scared to death. From what I heard, MCcain was leading Obama in some poll. My point is: Obama should have been leading Mccain by 7+ or more heading to the convention. As you know, after the convention is were the real battles begins were candidates start jabbing each other. But now the battle is even going into and after the convention. So dont be schocked if Mccain wins the elections becaue everyday that looks more REAL and REAL.
