Perhaps. But you've pretty much got to be a slave to be in the Olympics. They train everyday, or at least 5 or 6 days a week by the time they're 10 or 11, probably younger.

The argument I read was that at 13 years of age, they maintain a distinct advantage in that their bones are not fully formed and are more pliable than a more fully developed 16 year old, and that they are therefore more flexible and able to do weird shit that should be reserved for the bedroom when they are of legal age.
