It's like being AustraliaCQ and wondering what it's like to have sex.

At least AGQ can masturbate... we've got NOTHING in regards to death!

I see tonnes of sick people every day (Radiotherapy department) and its not uncommon to hear of patients just not turning up for treatment because they've died, or for RIP to appear in the patient notes. So I see a lot of it but dont really think much of it.

Yeha, I'll cease to be when I die. An afterlife? Nah, not anything we could comprehend anyway. All religons have it wrong, I can guarantee that, but I dont know what/if there'll be anything after death. I guess we cant remember or perceive anything from before we are born, so it'd be like that. And we never remember the moment we fall asleep, so it might be similar to that.

After all, Im not going to be the first person in the world to die when I go. Its nothing special.

If anything, reincarnation is probably the most likely - nature as we know it doesnt waste ANYTHING, so a ton of new 'souls' being created every second and a ton of souls 'dieing' every second sounds like its against nature. Why not recycle the 'souls'???

Where do the new souls come from ya know since there are a lot more people being born than there are dying.

as someone who doesn't forsee having a family or even growing old, it is something I think about a bit. I'd rather die in my 30s doing something I really enjoyed than get old & die from natural causes, especially when I see nothing to live for in the longevity sense. For this reason, I also have a DNR in my medical records, if my body gives up, let it be. People think I'm mad but I see no reason to come 'back' as whatever is after our lives, nothing, afterlive, recreation, can happen whenever it's time.

There's no such thing as the afterlife and anyone who can't accept that is just scared of dying.

edit: that's why the idea of the afterlife is so widespread - because 99.9% of people are pussies (aka "survival instinct").

I beg to differ, but that's why people are people (insert Depeche Mode joke here)
You've already given up your hopes of longevity by foreseeing not having a family.
The power of proclamation & thought is stronger than you think.
You are only as strong in life, as you proclaim yourself to be.

*I feel like an optimistic treehugger saying that
