My mom could care less. She scraps, pokes, prods, drills...When all is said and done my gums are dark red and pulsating. But I brush and floss so 1 small cavity after years of not going to the dentist is good in my opinion. 2 cavities in my entire life.

How about those people where you can clearly see a buildup of plaque on their teeth, with always blood red gums. Saw a couple of those in high school. Not only that, but with black spots in certain places. Oh god, how embarrassing...I don't know how they lived with themselves.
