I wonder why some people are so eager to prove that they're "nice". I would think that sincerity, loyalty, leadership, integrity, and perhaps a sense of humour are far more valuable qualities to possess and use in the long haul than politeness or meekness. Strained courtesy tells people nothing about who you are, and rarely leads to any serious insight into who others are.
Unless you're looking for a job as a secretary and many casual, fair-weather acquaintances, I wouldn't attempt to claim superiority by right of ingratiating obeisance. |
I don't really have a come back for your argument..only to say that, I don't go out of my way to be "nice" or to prove a point by being "meek"..I tend to be very opiniated when it comes to topics of substance...other than that..life's too short to get angry over things that really have no consequence in the scheme of things...seriously..i don't give a flying fuck if someone posts a thread that already exists..or whatever....how does that have any affect on me in the long run..he didn't do anything to me..so why the heck am I gonna be rude if i'm truly not offended? now, if i did make some wise ass comments and start hurling insults..when i really dont' give a shit..well..that would make me a fake...wouldn't it?
life's too short to take things so seriously, that's all....peace..
