I do like the Creole analogy - because we don't teach that in schools.

But yeah - why on earth people feel compelled (especially in urban areas where children might not be getting the best start anyway) to support teaching something that will have no real practical benefits is beyond me.

I don't need a dumber generation coming after me than the one I'm a part of.

hehe I honestly never knew what Creole was until a friend of mine went on his mission. He went to Florida and he was to speak Haitian Creole, which is French Creole. That was 2yrs ago.

And yeah I don't understand why on earth they would be compelled to teach an utterly useless tongue in which they learn how to sound like idiots.
