No, I am lame like that.
How do you get the proper length without trying them on and measuring? AND I don't have a sewing machine, so I would have to do it by hand, which I suck at...
It would take me more time, and more money to buy replacement pants for the ones I fucked up than if I had just went to get them hemmed somewhere professional. LOL!

first you pin them at the length you want, just like they do when you take them to the shop....
then you get this
turn your pants inside out, place the tape inside the bit you want to hem and iron it and TA DA.... you got yourself a hem, without a needle and thread
easy as 1,2,3

i agree with the self hemming, but i have learned that self hemming my pants could lead to disaster. i would rather have someone with a professional machine hem my pants, and have them cuffed/non cuffed depending on the pants.

Holy shit, that is brilliant.
I have never seen that before!
However, as LeopoldStotch said, I think I would rather take it to someone I know will do it right instead of taking the chance of fucking it up myself. Plus, I life cuffs on pants as well

Try being tall. I have to buy extra long jeans and those are just as hard to find, and usually aren't long enough anyway.

Pfft. being short is obviously easy.
Um, no.
Being short comes with a lot of disadvantages.
Don't make me bite your ankles.

while youre down there..
...tie my shoe?
and pfft. being short is easy. you can wear heels and not be taller than 90% of the population, your legs dont get stuck in awkward angles when you're on public transpo AND people can pat you on the head. seriously. lucky.
