For the record, Obama is not proposing to withdraw all troops from all corners of the globe. He just believes in a more educated refocusing of our resources.

The point is that you don't evaluate facts objectively, but in a way that makes your favorite party look better.
Just the same way you don't aquire information about your favorite basketball team because you think you can influence their performance, but because you're a fan of that team. YouÄll consequently end up being biased about everything you know about your team / party, just because there's no reason for you to gain any knowledge other than entertainment and fanboyism.

Subsidies/tariffs, more regulation, a more progressive tax code are a few examples.
