I think that behaviour is tacky (at best), regardless if it's a straight or gay person doing it. fuck, say hello or something. repeated, cheesy gestures or whatever...that's lame and makes them look like a douche.
there's nothing wrong with flamboyance...though I often roll my eyes or laugh a bit when I see it too. but really...who cares?
you can tell someone being overly flamboyant to chill out, that they may have been born gay, but weren't born "flamboyant"...but you can say the same thing to so many guys who pull over-the-top alpha-male bullshit too.
same shit.
and for the record, I fully support the young 20-somethings in feeling more confident to be open about who they are...or with 'experimenting' if they are unsure, lol. :P
but seriously...it's nice to see more and more gays feeling comfortable going to places like Guv, Footwork, etc., instead of only finding them at shit gay clubs that only play top-40, diva house or circuit shit.
the EDM scene has historically been very inclusive for pretty much anyone, but social scenes in general are becoming moreso as time goes on (at least in the city). |
You said everything I wanted to say.. but a lot nicer haha
