Have you tried Chez Bong? It's the one I usually hear about from people I know coming back from Korea... Personally haven't tried either.

Hwang Kum in NDG is no frills, but the food is pretty authentic.
i found another one hidden in chinatown. The woman doing the cooking is an old korean woman who speaks no english. When i spoke to her in korean, her family actually came to sit and drink soju with us. I forget the name...but everything was done from scratch...the mandoo is to die for and the kimchee jigae is not dulled down.
i forget the name but i will get it.
i will try chez bong...i used to think korean food would suck, but it is a lot healthier and diverse than many asian cuisines. Seoul had better food than here.
I just got back from Amir because Shish Kebab failed big time. I walk in and right away I have to check if my pants are still on because the lady is giving me such an evil look. I ask to see the menu and right away she asks if I can come back in half an hour. BANNED right away for life.
