His sets at Wet republic are much much better than LA sets and now I know!!As to the crowd lolll If you put any sorry ass dj at Vanguard on any given Saturday it will have the crowd Sharam did the crowd argument is the dumbest thing ever, Some people just go to go. In 2009 I will def be at Vanguard less I can say that for sure!! |
A friend was at wet republic this summer, saw Cedric Gervais first then Sharam came on - his comments were nearly exactly the same as most people have posted on here about Sharam's recent sets - no recognizable tunes, not much melodic content at all, mainly techno, build ups to just rhythms. Some people dig it and love techno like that, and those that go to see sharam for that will love it, but most people who think of Sharam, think prog, big tracks and house flavors so they're going to be very disappointed with what he's currently playing....get with it or don't see him, it's just the way it goes.
Vanguard can't be blamed at all - that was $20 - $40 entry that night and there were plenty of people in there - it was rammed, and a good night was had by many, including myself, and I only saw 45 mins of Sharam.
