and i definitely can't see the theme song that either network uses making a difference in their hockey ratings. Great that some geezers are nostalgic for the song, but at the end of the day none of them were tuning because the song, they were tuning in to watch some fucking hockey. |

I was only pointing out that it's just another black eye on CBC sports. They have a history of making PR gaffes like this one, which, in case you didn't notice, led to a severe backlash in the press and canadian viewers. A more respectable network might have shelled out the extra few thousands of dollars in royalty to keep the theme for the sake of tradition. But not CBC Sports. You're right, who cares I guess.
