So, in case everyone wondered about this long ago post, things took a really interesting turn. Amazingly, it seems all these events are unrelated, even though the people in them are closely tied.
Ivana Hodak was actually killed by a guy who lost his job 15 years ago due to a court ruling in which her father, Zvonimir Hodak, represented his employer. After he spent all the money he got from selling his house at around the time of that trial, he went out for revenge. Ultimately he wanted to get mr. Hodak, but found only Ivana and shot her instead. He was found by a mere accident, when some guy reported a bum sleeping in his barn. The bum was actually smuggling cigarettes and started to run away from the police, but they caught him and searched the barn. Inside they found a gun used to kill Ivana.
Ivo Pukanic was probably killed by a group of cigarette smugglers from Montenegro, the police says it has the leads but the Montenegran police is supposedly not overly cooperative due to strong internal corruption.
General Zagorec is still quiet about the diamonds, not much new stuff going on there.
