Sanchez. First time seeing him play and I was truly impressed. Not a fan of party tunes, but he changed my view on that Sunday night. Non stop dancing till about 2:30, when all I wanted was Victor to come on. I had a one track mind at that point and that is who I wanted to see.
When he came on, man did he deliver. I felt the set was quite different than Montreal this past summer, but I still enjoyed what I heard. I have wanted to see a late night Calderone set for some time now. Techy…yes… later turning to pure ReTaRdEdNeSs! Near the end of the night when I felt like I was gonna fall over, we were straight at the back of the main room. I’m not a fan of the main dancefloor, don’t know why, but something about it for me. However, between 5-6am, I was dead centre in the back of the room, those red lights behind the dj booth…and all I could think about was Stereo. The sound was so crisp and clear…the vibe….Victor took me to another place. Great time at Circa. Let’s see what Carl can do to that main room.

Agreed. Sanchez stole the show for me. Fucking TRIBAL.
Sanchez played tribal? Wow what a change from last year at Circa when it was utterly ridiculous cheese. Glad to hear the man has changed his ways as he can be quite the talented DJ What type of tribal did the man deliver if I might ask Cribblers?

Yup, that's me.
I found it to be more of an eye strain than the ballroom, but maybe less jarring because the room itself was less dark. Meh, I think we can all agree regardless that they need to do something about those damn lights.

Pfft. When I go to hear Roger Sanchez I'm going to hear the cheese. There were 2 other headliners there playing the more minimal/techy stuff.
His tribal was barely even tribal house, it was almost tribal techno. Victor was practically chill by comparison. Whatever label one might give Roger's closing half, it was ridiculously up-tempo ear-splitting nonsense. I did not enjoy it, and standing up on the upper level I could see quite clearly that the crowd was not enjoying it. Very few people in the club were in any way glad.
I can go hear tribal-tech in Toronto on any night of any week. The classic "cheese" that Roger opened with, that's the rarity here, and that's what made it worth the ticket price (as well as Calderone obviously).
