Artists who are in the business for the love of music, who are truly and geniunely passionated about it. There seem to be too many artists nowadays that want to get into the scene to be worshipped, to get $$ and chicks and "because it's cool to be played by (insert big DJ name here)".
this girl here amongst others
And producer/dj wise, Orkidea, Wizzy Noise, Shpongle, various TAs and bands like Muse, SOAD, QOTSA, Foo's, RATM, Zeppelin etc etc

Nah I think I made it clear in too many other threads that I admire cattaneo, however his music has declined somewhat as of late
but just because I like an artist and I recommend sets to people doesn't mean they are the DJs that I would like to model myself after. I admire mat zo and the blizzard more because they are upstart producers and remixers who haven't sold out yet. You love Desyn Masiello don't you because unlike me your endorsement deal with Masiello manifests on every post you make. Not that he is a bad DJ or anything

As a teenager, i used to listen to this stuff before i went into EDM, and now, after all these years of listening to electronic dance music and growing out of it, this is the stuff that i come back to, proving that this is timeless, dynamic music with substance. After listening to countless trance, techno and house tunes, the majority of which i got bored after some time, this is what is stays deep within.Hence, due to the current sound's durability over time, this is what i call inspiring.
Also, i find some modern post-rock and neo-shoegaze artists very inspiring, expecially if they make high quality music such as this artist
