Well TOTAs, time to pour my heart out:
I've been following trance since the end of 2002 (at the tender age of 16), when I heard ASOT 78 for the first time. Since then, I've been following Armin weekly, but it wasn't until 2005 that I heard my first Menno set on Intuition Radio Show (May it R.I.P.).
The kicker is that this entire time (6 years!), I have never attended a single trance event. The reasons: 1. I had no friends who lived near me and liked trance to the same degree as I did (and I'm too shy to go by myself), and 2. I was waiting for the perfect event to pop my cherry. So, the current situation has coincided with a turn of events on both fronts. My best friends have been exposed to Armin because he's even on z103.5, so they're willing to check it out, but more importantly, WHAT A LINEUP! Has Jennifer Rene even been part of an event in Toronto before? Nothing more that I could ask for really.
Anyway, I'm happy to say that on November 15th, I'll be experiencing the moment I've been waiting for after years and years of following the scene from afar. Hopefully, I'll get to meet some of you that night too.

P.S. Her set from Afterhours.FM 1 Year Anniversary is actually pretty good. Check it out. |
dude - been there - i remember begging friends to come to labour of love and no one was a big enough EDM fan to spring for the ticket so i went by myself - honestly, one of the best nights ever...being alone lets you do what you want when you want and you just meet random people and dance your heart out - this should be a fun event and i don't know too many trance addicts so i guess i'm in your shoes anyways...
anyways you slice it - should be an amazing evening given the low cost and the reasonably good crowd I think this lineup will draw out
jennifer rene may not be able to spin but the girl can sing and if she sings one song - it would be spectacular...
