Ambient so I dunno if this really counts, but I've always found music by The Orb to have an insane amount of layers, textures, and a varied song progression.

I listened to it just a bit ago and really liked it. It inspired me to open up my software and start playing with sounds.

Stuff like that with rich textures kind of "floating" above a constant beat is one of my favorite kinds of dance music.

- The Black Dog. Especially "Silenced", nice sound design.

- Osunlade. Very bright and detailed soulful sound but never sounding clinical

- Recloose

- Jazzanova

- 4Hero

- +1 for Matthew Herbert

- Dan Curtin. Unique way of composing techno in a non-linear way with plenty of details and twists.
