DJ T.O.M actually used to take care of the DJing but now he does it on his own (afaik) and two years ago he wasn't considered an underground artist around here. His tunes were hammered in all the mainstream clubs, especially "Rykketid" and his remix of "What Else Is There".
I guess he never really had a breakthrough in Canada and the States - or did he?
Around when Trente released his "The Last Resort" I heard that a club owner/promoter booked a DJ by the name of Trentemoller and later discovered that it was the wrong guy. This "nobody" DJ ended up getting paid $5,000 for an hour.

I don't get the overrated label either. I see some small similarities in some of the artists that Petran listed but nothing close. I don't get the same type of atmospheric feeling from other artists as listening to Trentemoller, similar in effect to Burial. And I completely agree with loving his 2006 EM, one of my favorites.

He's not as underground as Dubfire, though!
His Essential Mix, aside from the end, was totally ace. Love his downtempo tunes the best, "The Very Last Resort" being my absolute favorite song put out, one of the most haunting and beautiful pieces of electronic music in a long while.

Hes ok, i found alot of his stuff too similar but i do like Beta Boy alot also African People. Never could listen to the very last resort in one go. The Forest was good though as was miss you, mainly because they were different to his other stuff.
