Everyone in university should take a foundations of mathematics course and learn the basics behind mathematical logic, set theory, how number systems are constructed, and most importantly, how to take a theorem and prove it within the boundaries of Zermelo/Frankel set theory.

Already did that. I really enjoyed the class.

Look, this is the hiring hierarchy, either agree or disagree but this is how it is:

1. Who who know.
2. Skin color/ethnicity
3. What you know/ skills

That's the bottom line, sorry if I offended anyone.

I agree. Super simple, but teaches people the hows/whats/whys of mathematics and why it is important. Not everyone needs to be able to derive the ideal gas law using diff eq, but an understanding of elementary mathematics would help everyone.

Also agree with what Matthias says about nepotism, racism, and competence in our current job market.
