over the last 6 months or so, i've been using facebook more and myspace less. i had a lovefest event on myspace and one on facebook. the myspace one was completely static once posted, nearly impossible for people to search for it or scale up its visibility. your only option is to repost bulletins ad nauseum until all your friends are annoyed by you--something i refused to do. i think i had about 60 confirmed guests in the end, total fail. the facebook version had about 16,000 guests with another 20,000 awaiting/maybe/no and hundreds of people adding their own pics, videos, comments and posted items. the thing really took on a life of its own. i wrote a message to tom about how inferior myspace events were to facebook events and what did they do? they made a new music player skin! so cool!
