I've gotten like 150 tracks one weekend and I only kept like 5 so it's not as easy as one would think. Doesn't mean the 5 are pure chart-toppers either

First of all,I never said that Cass & Slide produced breaks. What I said was that Cass alone plays a lot of breaks in his djsets. And if you "know your shit",you know pretty damn well that this is the truth.

Secondly,Koma & Bones are also DJs.Yes,it is their productions that have made them famous, but they also operate as DJs.And here, they play a mixture of prog/breaks,leaning on the latter. This also influences their productions, one example is their remix of PMT's "Deeper Water".
Their beats follow a straight breakbeat pattern, but the FX and melodies that come in are definately influenced by prog.

Thirdly,I never said that Oakey played ONLY breaks!!You've misunderstood me on this point,I meant that he plays breaks in his djsets nowadays, and that he has expressed his interest for it in a lot of interviews, productions etc.The fact that he plays tracks like the ones I mentioned in my previous post clearly indicates that he has changed his style towards it.

And this...

...shows that you're single-minded and prejudiced about music and people you meet. How do you know that I cheered Oakey for his '99 sets??!!I DIDN'T!If you knew my taste in music you would know that I'm no fan of 98-99 trance at all,and hence I wouldn't worship him for the sets he did back then!!And how can you even say I would turn to him for breakbeat??!!Of course I wouldn't,as I know that he doesn't play purely breaks!!!If I wanted breakbeat,I'd get stuff from labels like Fingerlickin',Kingsize,Rampant and Acetate Ltd.,and from artists like Meat Katie,Plump DJs,Lee Coombs,Rennie Pilgrem and FreQ Nasty.

I'm not trying to school anybody, but it certainly looks like you need some schooling in constructive criticism when you post things like this.

Dont worry he got issues, how retard and single minded can a man be.
Oaky whatever he does, is whatever he likes, which is melodic.
There is no Dj and producer who sticks to one single style, for now variety is the key...

Kids try to argue alot.... open your mind, look around you, there is more than one dimension.
Cass produces PRogressive breaks no doubt, get a job.

Guys, you know me,I rarely enjoy flaming, but when somebody throws something as outrageuos as THIS in my face,I get pissed. You know how I feel about music fascism, and this was a prime example of just that.
I'll put the hatchet back into the garage now
