I always thought my music was amatuer chincy, overly repetitive and underdeveloped - oddly I still do.
However I do feel like I am able to put it together faster, and from time to time being able to listen to it for a longer period of time.
The reason why you probably thought my stuff was a bit flooded with only partly developed idea is partial inaccurate, my stuff is mostly filled with a few different ideas, but they arn't all that developed, that is my writting is stream of conciousness or a form of expressionism. I am an expressionist and my experiences are minimal.
However I have noticed my stuff slowly becoming more concrete - I always say this - I can't wait to hear my music in a year. Simply because I really am someone who is honing in on their sound. I very much have my own sound, and I don't attempt to fully emulate anything else I hear.. quite the opposite, I will often try NOT TO sound like other material, although I do like ideas within other tracks. I do play an instrument every now and then.
However my main thing is that I don't try to make "songs" I enjoy writting music, my tracks are jams, and usually not developed. Although like I said it is time, but it will always be subjective. I can't see myself being anything but an experimental expressionist, it is what I've been doing for the last 10 years. |
Man that is awesome! I've been producing for about 3 years now.
