Im about to pick up the 42' in a few months. So its a wise choice I presume?

question, I have seen cheaper ones with only 2 or 3 HDMI outlets? Do you really need 4?

PS3, XBOX, Wii, Cable / Direct TV, roku netflix player, etc etc.

The more HDMI the merrier IMHO. You can always get an HDMI switcher down the line if you need it. If you can afford the XBR series of the Sony Bravia line, do it. totally worth it. i have a 52" xbr 5 and the image quality is unmatched.

Wise choice indeed! Did a lot of research months prior on plasma/lcd, brands. Read a ton of reviews. And decided that this particular TV was the way to go for me. Especially since I had given myself a $1500 budget. Everything was right, including the 0% interest deal for 3 years on my bestbuy card! Believe me, you will be happy!

And like CReddick said, the more HDMI's the better. My tv has 4. Because I have a PS3, I only use a single one as I use my PS3 for blu-rays. But I will be getting a receiver soon enough with an HDMI output, aswell as satellite that will use another.

So far, the only BD I have with no letterboxes is Cloverfield. And its fucking nuts!
