ya thats the only reason i mentioned quebec
friend is going to see how much he can get me a flight with his frequent flyer miles and if i make my money back tomorrow at a party im throwing. im more willing to go as cost will be a smaller issue -- xmas bonus was a joke this year but if any TAs are doing Holden in Quebec then Montreal let me know so we can arrange something
ill be missing lindstrom in SF but its freaking HOLDEN! and at an afterhours too!
edit: $236 flight to Montreal after checking kayak.com again and flying in on a thursday rather than a friday. possibilities are looking even better

bus tickets are cheap and quebec is not far.
you are probably better off doing this instead of holding out for a ride. How many people do you know that offer rides to people that they have never met over the internet?

Have you tried looking for flights to Burlington (1h15 from MTL) or Plattsburg (45m from MTL)? Last year i flew to California from Burlington for $250 rt!

not going to make it i lost some cash in my friends bday party (booked Hac Le and got some neat visuals plus it was all based on donation entry fee) so that would of been my flight. party was great over all though, friend had a blast and honestly i really need to save up for wmc. would be nice if holden makes it out (but doubt it) so we can catch him together too haha just look at the bday present i made her: http://rizo.ws/misc/bcjr.jpg she cried for a few minutes, totally unexpected
