I dropped a half quarter outside Meadowvale Community center one time. One of my friends saw it on the ground, recognized the baggy and brought it over to my house for a kickin sesh. Good times.

my necklace fell off of me right in front of jackson square of all places - some niko bellic sounding dude caught up to me and gave it back.

one drunken night i tried to get in my gf's house, only it was her next door neighbour's and somehow i dropped my wallet on their porch while running away after i realized my mistake. it took me a week to remember that i was on that porch, so i awkwardly knocked on their door and asked.. and found out they did find it and turned it in to my school's lost and found .. but too bad it takes mcmaster security another 3 fucking weeks to "process" it and let me know to come and get it.

the coolest was on skybar last summer, i dropped my camera.. some girl found it, saw pics of my friends and i and gave it back to us later in the night haha

I've lost some stuff and found it myself, only 1 case someone returned something to me...

Cevapi meetup, left my white oakley sunglasses on a table in the restaurant, Abercrombie found them and after months of me being busy and tied up with other stuff, returned them at the london pub meetup.

Thanks!

I've left sunglasses in fitting rooms before when shopping...but always find them 5 minutes later when I realize they're not on my head upon leaving the store.

Wish someone returned my 4gb USB key I left in a school computer lab...lost 3 now.

kind of flipping around the thread title, but somethings that other people have lost that I've returned include:

A chequebook. A cell phone in the solarium at Sound Academy.

"You are virtually the ring leader, the way I see it."
Then, I blew out the candle.

Among the more interesting things I have returned to others are: a single sock, a lock combination written on a piece of paper (dropped directly in front of the locker), a self-help book (awkward), and a house key that had been buried in the snow for over 6 months (coworker lost it).

Most notable things returned to me were: Shoes, my dog, a kettle, and a pen with approximately 386 teeth marks in it.

The funniest thing I lost that wasn't returned was my iron (engineer's) ring. Could not have been worth than 10 cents' worth of scrap metal but someone felt the need to keep it - within 2 minutes of losing it I'd backtracked to the only possible place I could have lost it, and it was already gone.

someone mailed me my wallet from NYC with almost 500 cash in it back to Canada - i actually cried when i got it in the mail. i know it's not what i returned but i think it's equally mentionable - good people are still out there.

Can't help but feel this thread is in response to my Blackberry thread... lol but.

Things, i've found.
- at least 5 phones, all canadian, kept for a week in the office if anyone came back, at the end of the week returned them to the provider's store ie. Rogers, Bell, Telus
- digi cameras, again found during cleaning at the end of the night, kept it in the office, returned to people when the came back to claim it and describe the camera and pictures
- Wallet, find it, tape it up, toss in the mailbox
- Wallet, went through the ID, nothing with phone numbers, dropped it off at the police, girl called me a week later to thank me
- Watch, no idea who's it was, gave to the manager of the club

Things i've lost, and never found or got back...
- Phone, lost it one night out, didn't realize till the next morning, called telus to cancel, already had over $200 of long distance on it to the middle east
- Ring, gold ring, birthday gift, no idea how it came off, but it did, maybe it was summer and it was sweat... checked each and every club I was at, stayed till closing and went back after closing of the ones I think I lost it at to see if it was on the floor...no joy
- Gold braclet, musta came off when I was lifing crates of records. I know exactly where I could have lost it. Parking lot from the trunk of my car to the inside of the hall. Realized it 5mins later. Nothing anywhere...
- Digital Camera, saved up for a year, to get the one that I want. Researched which one I want, went and got the one I want. Had it like a month and it was taken, right off a table at a club. Sitting there, had our drinks on the table, girls had thier purses on the table... get talking, look over, gone...nowhere. (Won't spend more than $150 on a camera now)
- Jacket, leather, left it at a bar/restaurant, realized it an hour later, went back, gone...
