I think this was the last music-related thing I bought.

Loved it at the time, nowadays I don't think it quite fits my taste that well anymore. Other stuff aged better, for example the Border Community tracks.

no, it was special even at the time it was out, many quality tunes were released though.

well, it does hold a nostalgic value for me but its still a clssic imo.
its not an average tune, even if there were 50 other classic tunes released at THAT year.

I remember that E.P. as well, a really good release. Whilst that E.P. was released during McProg's gold years, i always though that tracks like "The Ambience" and "Forward" were distinctive in using fat dutch-style saw sytnhs over cool housey grooves (in contrast to the majority of McProg Schultzian releases of the time which used all these melodic bell-like pling-plong delayed sequencies). I always though that it was very cool to do and strangely enough not many have done it. i have to add though that whilst the production and ideas were mint, the tunes themselves were not very special IMO since the melodies themselves were very generic and not particularly (thematically) good. The overall atmosphere of the tracks was nice though.

And who else remembers Sander Kleinenbergs "4 Seasons" series!? Now those should really be considered 00s prog classics (well they came-out in 2000 so you may label them with the end-of-90s gold-era stuff lol)

I really liked "Harmonic Germs" from when he used to put out tracks as Panoptic.
