Some really great comments here I'm reading tonight. Consider yourselves blessed he always plays on the west coast in USA.
I'm one of the biggest Hernan fans out there, and with good reason. You guys have nailed most of it. He truly has perfected the progressive sound all the while staying up to date with the current trends of tech house/minimal sound. Nevertheless his sound is not just deep, but for me, the deepest, most meaningful sound I've ever heard, and not just one, but damn near every occasion.
Especially nowadays when DJ's are abandoning their progressive or tribal or deep house roots for the minimal tech bandwagon, he is one of the few that has managed to keep his original sound while incorporating the new stuff. And quite well, I might add. His mixing is near perfect, right up there with Danny Howells and the best of them.
He is probably the coolest, most down to earth DJ you will ever meet. He plays more dates annually, around the world, than just about anyone else, yet he pretty much travels alone. Just a great, humble guy to be around and have the pleasure of having a conversation with.
Hope those Southern CA shows did justice.
Cheers!
