Unless it was in the middle of the woods listening to psy/goa-psy while snorting cocaine and other kind of hard drugs it's no rave.
I assume you went to a club and heard it or you listened to it at home.

Further more there are no "interpretations". These sub-genres are limited by certain rules. Stop listening and start feeling the tracks instead. A synth and a percussion aren't always the definitions of genres.
