i said THIS flyer.
Coachella as a product and brand is totally different. People who buy ahead of lineups being announced, go there for the experience that it presents, and that is exclusive to Coachella on its own.
Its like Ibiza, you go there regardless who spins. Or Lovefest. Etc.
Not apples to apples in this case. |
Got it-must have misunderstood what u said

How could you tell that this one is not being used by the press?
Press release by definition is pseudo-news story, written in third person, that seeks to demonstrate to an editor or reporter the newsworthiness of a particular person, event, service or product.
The flyer fits well into this category, since tranceaddict is a forum, we don't know if there is any reporter/editor involved in the discussion board.
Like I said earlier, it is logically not (just by looking at the flyer posted by Insomniac), but it could be :P |
Just because a flyer is used by the press doesn't make it a press release.
It's about the intent, not the actual useage.
If the intent of the flyer was for the press, then I guess it would be? But in all my years of dealing with sales & marketing, I've never seen that. ever. It's intended for the public. Not the press.
If they repurpose the content into an email and send it out to the press, then that's a press release. But the flyer itself isn't.
I can keep going on, even if it's repeating myself, for years. Cause I am convinced I am right and you aren't gonna change it...so Let's do it. LET'S DO IT!!!
lol, or maybe we should just both stop.

Granted I'm a little messed up but the flier really didn't stir anything in my loins. "Multiple DJs on multiple stages." Who cares until acts are announced. It might have been a nice souvenir after TAO but it really deserves no acknowledgment on TA until we know who or where. We aren't the ignorant fan that flocks purely on a name sake. How sweetly stupid. I suppose I lost all possible options to work for Insomniac post college after this post.
