i just got home from a walk to the bank. Lots of layers on top, but only one pair of pants...not a very wise move. If i was outside any longer, I would have done some damage to my unit.

+1!! Luckly my classroom was only a 5 minute walk (well near run) IT WAS FREEZING!!!! Definately was not wearing enough layers.

YAY FOR GLOBAL WARMING!!!!

The funniest part is that it seems like the people born here complain just as much as people from other warm countries.

I remember spending one winter in Montreal as a kid, after that I realised we had no right to complain in the GTA. I can still remember building a snow man in a blizzard on a farm, a very vivid memory.

The people I feel most for (other than the homeless) are people who to stand 30+ minutes waiting for a bus. If you are standing around, then fuck it feels awful.

Can anyone explain why noise seems to be louder or carry further distances in colder temperature? It seems that the noise seems more audible in the cold.

The air is denser in cold weather so sound waves travel more efficiently through the air. With the molecules closer together they have a greater chance of colliding with other molecules to transfer the sound.
