That shit is easy to see. Flat side goes on flat pulley, grooved side on grooved pulley. If you are that fucking stupid to fuck that up, you deserve to have a fucked up car.
Also, I stand corrected on the tensioner pulley thing. I guess they are different on the vr6? I know BMW e36, e46, VW MKIII GTI and Jetta, Subaru, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, and a few others don't have them at all. Just the adjustment slider bolt on the alternator.

Well the mkIII GTI & jetta both had the VR6 too. If you look at that pic, in the lower left is an outline of the belts shape....it has "teeth" on both sides. Ya never know.
