Dude, you arent posting in a forum called BingoAddicts or Librarians of America. Its tranceaddicts buddy and we party so of course we might have made the mistake of driving under the influence a bit more than other groups. Having said that, there are tons of more people that read these comments that wont post 'i never got a DUI'. The title of the thread is 'has anybody served time.' Stop trying be holier than thou. Those of us that have been caught have paid or are currently paying for it.

I got caught last July 16. .12 I thought I did the field tests ok but then again, I think almost everybody says that. I was locked up until 6pm the next day. Got sentenced a few months later. Fortunatley I found a hook up so I dont have to waste my time with DUI and AA classes. I just paid homey under the table and he is taking care of it for me.

I also spent 4 days in a jail about an hour outside of Puerto vallarta. Long story. Worst 4 days of my life. I was innocent by the way. Having said that, carefull when you go down south! I speak the language fluently and still this shit went down. Mexican jail, do yourselves a favor and stay far far away.

Still, it makes sense to have a designated driver instead of driving while intoxicated. Anyone who has received a dui and gone through all the trouble with the courts, money, etc, will say the same thing. What to speak of actually running into someone and hurting them or yourself.

even if its a first degree if you got a half decent scumbag of a lawyer hes gonna plea it out to a second degree anyway.so lets just say second.your bail upon arrest was probably between 10 and 25 grand with 10% acceptable so between a 1000 and 2500 to get out im guessing?

so if this is your first offense and you have no other record:

your going to go to court and their going to offer you a plea.you of course will take this plea because it will involve you doing no jail time.you will pay court costs,his medical costs(if any),do community service and go to classes(such as anger management and alcohol awareness classes,which YOU have to pay for by the way),which if your paying a lawyer hes already got you going to these classes if hes smart(looks better for you at the trial) if not get ready to do them. you will probably be on probation for 2 years. if your lucky it will be unsupervised.

if its not your first offense for assault youll do SOME jail time regardless of how the plea goes.possibly weekends if they offer it where your at if your lucky.insert all above fees fines and classes into this as well.

all speculation of course.theres not enough of your story to lay it out better but uh let us know how it goes eh?
