i think early 90s trance started the whole dolphin ocean thing, because at that time many people had their first ibiza/goa/new age experiences and it was legitimate to complete that feeling with pictures and music videos:



i think that is a good example, it somehow feels "right" because it isnt "staged" or "fake" but expressing some kind of lifestyle.

but nowadays most trance is a caricature of itself, recycling those ideas to infinite gayness and praising false heroes over the internet. yeah pretty much.

Because beaches are long. You can't really have epic journeys full of emotion and the feeling of escapism in a jungle.
