It was the summer of 2000. I borrowed a Seb Fontaine prototype cd from a friend. I didn't get fully hooked till last October though

I wished I could afford to fly to Europe to see some of these fucking amazing events they organize for trance music. When the likes of PVD, Sasha and Digweed (my favorites), and Oakenfold come to my neck of the woods, its like a must see event cuz you don't know when the next time they will be in town (if ever.. )

The US is slowly playing catch up, but the club industry here (at least to me) isn't into this genre of dance music as much as Europe.

Id love to see Blank and Jones live here in the States myself.

Well,I heard William Orbit - Barbers Adiago for Strings (Ferry Corsten remix) on MTV, and loved it. Then I saw an advert for a certain CD compilation that contained it. So I went and bought it.

It just happened to be Matt Dareys "Pure Euphoria". So, understandably, from then on I was utterly hooked.

Back in 99 my friend sent me some songs that were techno. At first I was like, wtf this is gay, but then I listened more. They were some brooklyn bounce. So I looked online, and I dled Chicane - Saltwater and a Oakenfold liveset. From then on, trance played a BIG part in my music.

97 i believe, my freshman year of high school...my friend got me hooked on the chemical brothers, prodigy, 187, robert miles, paul oakenfold.....ended up going to zen fest 98 (i think it was 98) to see the chemical brothers.....

after that i was completely hooked, i started downloading a lot of different music...anything with "DJ" in front of it, i downloaded, and i listened and learned what i liked, what i didn't, etc etc

oh and for the record...
first cd single: 187 Lockdown - Gunman
first cd album: Chemical Brothers - Surrender
(that i actually went out and bought)
