Yeah, I'd probably go Ecler if I were in your shoes. As someone said before, it's definitely the most "future proof."

I feel like it would get annoying, I need to try these out. Hard to find a shop with these mixers...

I'm leaning towards the Ecler, especially with the 10% off deal going on at agi right now.

The only negative thing I've heard about the Evo 4 is that the mid range EQ is a little too wide making the low and highs a little thin. Can anyone comment on this?

My 3.0 comes in tomorrow, I'll know more about the mid range frequency then. From all the reviews I read about it, they all seemed to mention this, but no one ever said it was an issue or drawback. Just something a little different then most mixer's.

I don't own an Evo, but in Traktor 3.0, the emulated Evo mixer has especially strong mids.

Got my ecler 3.0 last night, haven't had much time to play with, but as far as I can tell yeah the mid range's do have quite a wide range to it, but not life changing. The high's still do their job, and the low's still have their purpose. The thing I noticed most was that the mid's have more bass in them then my previous korg mixer did. So my bass eq's were lower on average then I have had in the past. I'll be able to give it a good test over the weekend and report back. With just playing with it for over an hour though, this mixer was money well spent. I'd highly recommend any of the nuo's.

When you say you had your bass eq's lower on average, do you just mean that in order to kill more bass you would need to dial down your bass eq more than you previously would had to on your last mixer?

When you completely kill the bass, does it remove all the thumps are do the mids still have bass?

Alright sorry this is so late, not sure if you even need anymore input. Regarding the bass, it is a total kill, and the mid is a much fuller sound. Kind of hard without hearing, but I will try to describe. Basically on my previous mixer (korg KM-402) if I had the bass at 1 o'clock, the mid would be at 1-2 o'clock. With the ecler, If the mid is at 1-2 o'clock the bass could be at 12, and produce a full sound. Again this is all subject to what tune you are playing, but this is just a trend I noticed that the low eq was a little lower than the mid. The EQ's on the ecler really play well /compliment each other, whereas previous mixer's I have used, they seem so independent. The mids don't really thump. If you haven't watch it already, check out this vid.

Hope that made some sort of sense. Maybe someone else can describe it better
