However, his DJ'ing has always lacked. Have any of you ever heard his 1994 Essential Mix? It's got a great track selection in terms of diversity, yet the mixing is absolutely Godawful and downright disgusting.

In addition, I used to think that Moby had some very, very positive insight and opinions regarding the music industry and pop scene. However, he's just as big of a douche as the rest of them. Why? Well sit down, kids, I've a story to tell...

In 2005 he stopped through a bookstore in Seattle to promote his new book and the newly-released Hotel. He did a whole speech about the album and the book, and then proceeded to take questions from the crowd. Being the Moby and Tiesto fanboy that I was, I raised my hand. He called on me and I asked, "In the early nineties, you DJ'd significantly more often than you do now. How has the scene changed, and what do you think about other DJs selling-out 20,000-capacity stadiums and DJ for eight hours?" Take that, Tiesto.

His answer? "Well, to be honest, I don't know how those DJs can do it. Most of the tracks they play aren't theirs, but they stand up with their arms posed and let the crowd cheer as though they're the ones making the music. I could never take credit for something that wasn't mine like they do, I'd just feel really awkward."

Then, I see videos of him online pulling a Jesus pose to Underworld's NUXX last year. Fuck him. Fuck him hard.

Man, and thats just one area where he's done a complete 180. Remember Animal Rights, remember the short essays he had even in the booklet for "Play" (and many more in older albums) talking about various subjects? He used to be a hardcore environmentalist anti-corporate critic....it seems like over time all of that has gone down the drain.

There's an overall loss of passion in what he says and does these days.

Agreed. I used to visit his website all the time, but now the one time every couple of months that I go, all I see is him bantering on about the same old political jargon that everybody else has been bantering about for months.

Though, I guess this was to be expected.
