This does sound like fun. Though, I do share the same apprehensiveness as David. Krooton to answer that question. I don't want to have to spend my money on tracks that I would otherwise never consider purchasing. Though, illegal downloading of those tracks is an option, it's one I'd rather not do.

But his point was if you never would've considered buying them anyways, it makes no difference. Just delete them after the mix is done.

This is a cool idea, but you'd hafta make sure that the participant has to stray relatively far from their usual sets.

I currently own exactly zero "indie dance / nu disco" tracks, so this should be a real adventure...

as do i with french house, for the most part

i browsed earlier and have about 15 tracks picked out, but i don't think people are gonna like how i go about the mix. it's french, and it's house, but it's not cheesy shitty french house/electro. is that fair meat?

I thought "French House" meant the stuff like Daft Punk that's really heavy on sampling old disco / funk tracks.

i think it is, but there's a lot of french house that doesn't necessarily sound like "technologic" too.

the point is, a lot of that music is fuckin gay and i think i'm staying within the rules by spinning house music from french producers. so long as that's fair by meat.

i think we can have a little bit of artistic freedom with these mixes while staying within the guidelines.. otherwise the guy forced to make the happy hardcore mix will end up shooting himself in the face

I know probably less than you about French House. So if you put out anything that can go by that name it's ok with me.
Someone suggested the genre, so I guess he'll be the one to bitch about you doing it wrong.
