Even if he was ripping one, its not a criminal offense. Its not a crime. Its a civil suit. That means that the company could sue you, but you won't go to jail or loose your house or anything if you don't pay. Its pretty petty and insignifigant.

In the USA anyways violation of any copyright law isn't criminal. Its not even illegal. People can sue you because they have the right to, not because you broke a law. [you didn't break a law] You violated a contract, that isn't criminal.

Of course he wasn't. There's no evidence for that, unless you count the thread title itself, the second paragraph of the OP explaining how he was attempting to isolate the vocal, and the third paragraph asking how to get a better result. I don't know WHO could possibly infer that he was trying to get an acapella out of it. Assclap.

What the fuck are you on about? Backing over a pedestrian with your car isn't criminal either assuming you say it was an accident, but you still don't do it.

Copyright law isn't contract law either. And illegal is not the same as criminal. Seriously, what are you smoking?

Actually, Man slaughter is a crime. Even if it was an accident. You can still get time for it.

Copyright infringment however..you cannot go to jail for. You cannot loose any of your rights or property for it. All that can happen is you get sued, and those that sue you 'hope' you pay them. In most cases people don't pay, which is why companies rarely sue unless they are trying to prove a point.

Don't believe everything hollywood tells you.

Also, i'm talking about the law on paper, a company with plenty of money can change the law how ever they well feel like changing it. but you still won't go to jail or loose your property...so who cares?
