Don't let them tell you otherwise - i't completely illegal in the USA and they have to take items back or can loose their sellers permit and be fined. hard.

Heres the email they sent from djdeals.com

If you're over 30 days then you're shit out of luck and any parts that have human contact is considered fair under common law, but if unopened they have no right under law to enforce this part of the returns policy.

The burden is on them to prove you have opened it and used it, and have to take that item back under the distance selling laws unless they can prove it (which obviously they can't unless you've breached the void sticker or something).

It sounds like they're using BS to stop you from returning something legitimate and don't let them get away with it.

Tell them they are unused and unopened, and if they do not let you do an exchange you will dispute the charge on you credit card if they do not exchange it for a credit note or item at least as expensive. However, you are not entitled to a full or partial refund for cash.

Tell them you're a long time customer and have never returned anything else and would like to keep using them for future sales. Also, speak to a manager, don't bother speaking to a sales guy - trust me, they don't want to deal with it and they don't have the authority to agree to a return anyway.
