etc etc...
Ive gotten close to having an absolute line. Say for instance I cut 500hz and below ..the sharper or faster down I go..the more 500-540hz are boosted. So in the end 499 may be dead silent, but 500-540hz would be like +32 db o.o..then the spike evens out at 0db around 560hz and on... |
This is the natural response of how filters work, the steeper the slope, the higher the resonance is at the peak. You could get close to what you're trying to achieve by using numerous eq's, but the noise floor it would create would be near un-mixable
