whats wrong with that? it is good to have events planned in advanced so people who are interested in attending would have enough time to adjust their schedule if necessary.

yeah last time we started planning 2 months beforehand I think and we had a REALLY good turn out considering it wasnt the easiest place to get to. Actually we started talking about it in Feb... lol.

So really... this one wont be as long of a wait.

Although I want it now

Slightly more attractive:

For those who don't already know, they're basically sausages, similar to kebabs. They're usually made with beef, sometimes lamb. They're Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian depending on who you ask. Usually you eat them on a lepinja (like a pita) with onions and some sort of cheese or cream (the place we went last year had great kajmak, a mild yogurty-like cheese).

That's about it.

that picture makes it look really dumb actually..lol

For people that know...the picture I know is how its served. If anyone serves it to you different, its some kinda phony act and them trying to make it look pretty or some shit...it just wrong.

Its served in a lepina (the bread there) and with onions and kajmak.. just how it looks.

I would love to go to one of these. I have tried a few places that have them in Canada and some were ok, but not the real thing. I guess i sound all mightier than thou, but i dont meant to

Anyway, ummm yeah i'm in.

Oh and btw the REAL cevapi come from Bosnia. If someone tells you otherwise they are lying. To be specific, city of Travnik in Bosnia has the best cevapi in the world!

umm ok so now im done....oh and im in..

EDIT: P.S. Real cevapi are made with lamb. Not the main meat, but a little lamb is mixed with beef, specifically lamb fat. This gives it the flavour, taste, and texture.

Sure, I explained that myself in the post above, but they're usually not all burnt.

Yes yes, we had this debate for 10 pages on last year's roll call, must we open it up again?

based on your description, it kinda sounds like a different version of the greek gyros on a pita.

Gyros are flat strips of meat. Cevapi are sausages, more like kebabs. Exactly like kebabs, in fact. That's what the word derives from.
