Overall i think there were a lot of solid tracks in here. I have to admit to skipping around a bit in the beginning, because a few of the tracks seem to drag along a bit to me. You are switching styles a bit from your last stuff, so i suppose the comfort level will come in regards to finding that happy medium in which you can better assess when a track has played long enough. Other than that slight nit picking i found it to be enjoyable, the second half much more than the first for me.

keep at it

Thanks Jason, I really appreciate your feedback.

Regarding the first half, I tend to base the mixing on the structure of the tracks that I am mixing. In this case, I found that many of the tracks in the first half did not give me proper mix-in points until rather late into them. For that reason, the tracks at the beginning play out for longer. Also, I find that some people like to bang it out at first and ease off as the mix progresses, gradually letting the songs play out more. It could also go the other way, which I guess is the case here.

Anyway I'm glad you did enjoy it though.

Like I said just nit picking.

If you use the eq (are you using a 3 band eq?), you will find that with practice there are mix in points earlier. You use traktor, you could also try doing 1+1= 3 blends. (main track + element used very low from a 2nd track used as a tool of sort to transition into the next track you want to play.) It can make those earlier mixes seamless if you let the tool track bleed into the next main track while cutting the first.

I hope that made sense

bla bla bla bla bla.

I'll listen to the next one

Took a listen to the mix this morning... nothing really jumped straight out at me on a first listen, but it all seemed to flow really nicely and was a great, mellow set for those early hours stuck here at work.
