E.g. Culture Beat - I like you 1990, Cappella - Everybody 1991, Culture Beat - No Deeper Meaning 1991. The melodies played with piano's and synths of those tracks are similar to the ones used in trance later.
I always looked out for remixes and instrumental versions without the vocals, (but I liked the vocals too.)

You still probably are getting old, you just maybe started listening trance a bit later

What? By 1994 there was already a foundation of trance. And trance was a genre of its own. No one would mistake eurodance such as Haddaway for trance.

In 1994 yes, obvious, but I was talking before that. And I didn't mention Haddaway, neither Twenty4Seven or 2Unlimited.
I meant that if I had heard trance before 1994 I probably would have loved it.

Both Cappella and Culture Beat made tracks which were much closer to Trance then others, at least the instrumental part. Not that they should be called trance, but there were tracks which tended towards what would be called trance later, or at least explain the love for trance later.

1998 Culture Beat - Pay no mind (DJ Taucher Remix) or (Aboria GC Remix) at the Maxi-single.
