'Lo,
I'm going to be in Amsterdam on a trip later this month and I'll unfortunately be spending the night on Sunday and Monday (the 21st and 22nd...)...are *any* of the clubs open on these nights and if so, do you have any recommendations? I obviously wish I could visit Kremlin on a Saturday but there's simply no way for me to get to town any earlier...

They seldomly say midnight.. but it might occur.
No it's not 'half of one', just 'half one', it's caused by a glitch in Dutch grammar. In English you allways say "this many" minutes past XX. We allways say a half before the whole hour.
13:15 -> kwart over één (quarter past one)
13:30 -> half twee (half two) (instead of half past one)
13:45 -> kwart voor twee (quarter to two)
Oh... I see now... So, in English, 23:59 would be "59 minutes past 23 hours (or 11 PM)" and in Dutch, it would be "1 minute to 12"...

Roger, that's correct. Everything beyond the 30 minute barrier will be used as 'to' the whole hour instead of 'past' the whole hour. Now back on topic

I'm afraid there isn't any club open on monday.. Sunday they might I'm not sure.. I checked out the events calendar for some gigs and there are a few.. Some obscure Salsa party in Amsterdam on monday, I don't wanna recommend that
But this one might be interesting: http://www.freefestival.nl/
A free open-air trance party in a medium-sized city near Amsterdam,
you can easily get there by public transport. From 12 till 12 on Sunday the 21st. (Hope the weather will co-operate )
Big plus: the entrance is free
Me & a friend are planning to come to .NL to attend a big party like Trance Energy or Innercity.
Are there any lineups for TE or Innercity or any other BIG trance party yet ? And do you also know when/where they will take place ?
My mate & me are especially interested in a party where Tiesto and/or Ferry Corsten are spinning cause thatīs what NL-Trance is about !!
Any help is very appreciated !
Many thanks !

They'll both spin @ DancePop, but that isn't something like Trance Energy or Innercity.....

Oh damn
Why donīt Tiesto/Ferry spin in NL anymore ? I mean Iīve realized Ferry/Tiesto werenīt at the last Trance Energys or Innercities, but why ?
Here in Germany many German artists are booked for playing at big events (imagine Mayday without PVD or Westbam!!).
Sad thing I think I shouldīve been at Innercity 99 with Ferry & Tiesto - Good old times 1999

Ferry & Tiesto donīt have much more to win in holland, there were on the biggest partys and now they want to conquer de rest of the world. I would do the same if i where in the same position. But it would be cool if you where coming for innercity or trance energy (if you like some harder dance music try the party Impulzeven is Ferry & Tiesto arent spinning there, there will enough other very talented djs.

Can anyone tell me how many people(in thousands) are expected at Frequence and Mysteryland parties?
was Frequence a good party last year? I'm gonna be in Holland during that time period, and except for these two parties there seems to be nothing else.. Am i missing something?
