The eglinton west bus is brutal for this.

I would ignore them. A white girl on the eg west bus is out of her element - just carry on to your stop and get off without provoking anyone unless you're willing to physically defend yourself.

although, if i was in the situation i might have a difficult time keeping my mouth shut...that comes from growing up around bitches like that..sometimes the ghetto in me comes out even though i keep it under wraps the majority of the time....

IMO you definitely did the right thing. Just ignore the girl, it's honestly not worth you're time. Plus, half those crazies out there, you have no idea what they'd do if you talk back to them. In the alternative, like Alex said, smile and be polite and say something like "Sorry, I didn't realize I was in your way". It'd likely confuse her and piss her off even more.

Yes it's true, we were definately the minority colour on that bus but we were at Eglinton and Avenue Rd, since when did it become so brutal there? Good thing I only went as far as bathurst. Midtown doesn't sound like such a hot spot anymore.

That's why I moved north. The area around Lawrence & Dufferin was always bad, some of those side streets behind Lawrence Square were outright scary. You do not want to make a wrong turn over there. It was similar, although not quite as bad, around Eglinton & Dufferin going to Keele. It's been moving east for a while.
